about

Ten years ago we launched our visual album Field Studies at Ventnor Fringe Festival 2013. Fifteen tracks in three sections: Noise, Transformation and Contrast, each comprising a film and a piece of music.

Using those three themes as our guide we sampled and scavenged images and sounds from around us: British suburbia, cityscapes shot from a metro train in Berlin, found footage, natural landscapes from a field trip to Wales and plenty of abstract sounds and animation.

It hasn’t been available as an audio album until now, so we hope you enjoy this new version of it.

The Bandcamp release comes with a twenty-one page artbook with images from the fifteen films included in the original visual album along with a list of all the releases, video works and live performances from 2013-2023.
